The Sacramento Kings have advanced in the 2024 NBA Play-In Tournament after defeating the Golden State Warriors 118-94 on Tuesday night in Sacramento. The victory eliminates the Warriors from the postseason and sends the Kings to New Orleans to face the Pelicans.
The Kings led by 10 points at halftime and extended their lead to 24 points in the third quarter. The Warriors never recovered, as the Kings continued to pour it on in the fourth quarter. De'Aaron Fox led the Kings with 31 points, while Domantas Sabonis added 22 points and 14 rebounds. Klay Thompson scored 23 points for the Warriors, but it wasn't enough to prevent the loss.
The Kings will now face the Pelicans in a single-elimination game on Thursday night. The winner of that game will advance to the Western Conference playoffs.
